Too commercial.

Does the game really have to look that commercial? With the shiny kiddy graphics, the big sponsor banner on the main menu, the big flashy fonts, and the cheesy music?

This looks like the sort of game you'd expect to find on Fox Kids dot com or something, or on a promotional CD for some big corporation.

Other than that - not my kind of game. Controls were fairly badly conceived, game was just overall uninteresting.

Pretty fun.

It's fun. There're a bunch of small problems and some missed potential though, and it all adds up very quickly.

First thing that me was that you didn't animate the main character's legs as he walks. What the hell?

I feel the enemies have far too much health: a single whack from the Sword should be enough to down one of the basic soldiers. I think it'd be good as well if you could charge up the fist to deal more damage. The ghosts were really annoying, but they could be made tolerable by reducing their health (namely, so that they die in a single hit).

Now, either the cost of the weapons should be reduced, or something should be done to make the game more interesting, like having the scenery change. Of course, the scenery should change regardless, but it takes so long to work up the money to buy the more powerful weapons that the game gets very monotonous. Changing scenery would help with that.

Other than all that, the game is fun but nothing special. Nothing particularly original, it sits on a gray area, not quite absurd enough to be considered funny or comical, but obviously trying to be. Of course, you made this in three days, so yeah.

Good, but too hard.

Essentially it's just way too hard. Now, I don't mind hard games, but the thing is that what makes this difficult are the controls. They are very unresponsive, and in a game like this, the controls have to perfection or it's BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.

Oh yeah, there should be a key-stroke to retry. It's really annoying to have to move your hand over to the mouse every time you get killed (which is often).

I was gonna give you a six, but then I added a point for originality.

I don't think you're reviewing what you think you're reviewing... I have never, through the course of developing this game, encountered a point when I was killed.

Now I'm beginning to doubt myself.

That was pretty cool.

Didn't fulfill all of its potential, though. Could have used more interesting enemies, more backstory, more difficulty, and also more levels.

Oh yeah, and better sound. I'm not talking about the using less silly roars or anything, I mean using MORE KINDS of silly roars, because you had the same few repeated over and over.

Awesome.

Completely awesome! So simple, and yet so fun. This is a dodge-freak's idea of the perfect game, a whole game built around dodging bullets from a 2D platformer perspective.

I docked you two points. One is because I think I would have liked a little more speed in the gameplay, a little more rythm. And the other one is because it feels too ripped off of Portal.

Snore.

Totally fucking pointless. Hot damn, another sidescrolling shooter! Kongregate seem to think that just because they replace the cyborgs, zombies etc. with penguins, that everyone will swarm all over this and love it.

Unfortunately, they are right.

Next time you make the front page selection, Newgrounds, try to pick something original. Something, you know, interesting? Before the whole world turns into one gigantic grey blob of mediocrity, blandness and stagnation.

Pretty cool.

Using the Ifrit was really fun. But there was nothing special about this game, it was just... average.

That's all there is to say about it: nothing special. 6/10 | 2/5

Excellent.

It really is a shame the controls were so utterly GOD-FUCKING-AWFUL. Fix that, and you'll have a perfect game.

Really makes you think, seeing all those other sperm passing by, the way they all look so different, millions of potential human beings. Same goes for the Game Over cinematic, it really gets across the idea that a potential life has just been extinguished before it began.

I don't care if that's not even what you were going for, that's what it made me feel. But fix the controls.

Awesome.

Holy shit, that was pretty cool. Sound is off sync, gameplay should be a bit improved. Love the minimalistic style. This whole Lego-based-game concept has huge potential.

If you mean sound as in when you click to shoot, the duration between that and the sound playing then...

Alot of people seem to think it's the game, it's not. It will usually be your skipping the preloader to early, your internet just isn't fast enough your PC is a little slow.

All audio is in sync for me. :D
I'd offer you a new PC, but well... you know... ^^
