Pretty crap.

There's not really much to review here, so I'll just point out the flaws:

First of all, I am so god damn sick of techno in every flash game ever. Especially god awful techno.

The controls are pretty bad. You never actually did overshoot any of the platforms, but you always felt like you were about to, because the controls are just unwieldy and too slippery, making them unenjoyable to use. The rocks often hit you from off-screen. The game also has an annoying tendency to lag, though since my computer's pretty slow I can't really complain.

There are no other redeeming qualities, the game isn't original, good looking, it has no interesting gameplay mechanics... it's an unoriginal and uninteresting game, and a flawed one at that.

On the flip side, thank you for including a way to both mute the sound and play with the quality. Just... thank you.

Not fun.

Wasn't fun, the only word that comes to mind is "painful". But seeing as how so many other people enjoyed it, I guess I just don't like a game built around stuff destroying your work constantly.

Also, this is a good game for teaching people to use a graphics tablet efficiently.

As a sidenote, can NOBODY think of any other style of music to put in their flash games than fast paced, happy sounding techno?

Terrible.

There is nothing good about this game. The graphics do look superficially nice, but even a slightly trained eye will quickly pick up on the boring color scheme, poor animation (such as the practically board-stiff protagonist) and the same overdone cartoony art style we've seen over and over on Newgrounds and the Internet as a whole.

The rest is just piss-poor level design, under average controls, awful sound and music, and a slightly oddly shaped screen which often felt cramped and hindered the platforming.

The game doesn't even have an interesting story or hell, even a novel gameplay gimmick to redeem all of its fault and mediocrity.

It's alright.

It was really fun for a half hour or so. Enjoyable while it lasted, but constant "go here and kill stuff repeatedly" and otherwise shallow gameplay and no story or nice art-style to compensate prevents this submission from being anything more than a time-waster.

Nice idea.

Nice try, but unfortunately the actual game gets very boring, very fast.

Nice little game.

Very cool, nice graphics, and games about amoebae are always cool. The gameplay does lack a certain depth, however, but as a simple time killer it's very good.

There are a few significant problems which drag the game down, though. Firstly, the controls. Mouse movement felt just a little hyper-reactive and unwieldy, something like the ability to press a button in order to stop or something like that would have helped. It was very difficult to use the powerups, since moving your mouse over there would drag your amoeba along with it - sure you could use the number keys, but since you had to stop and count in order to figure out which powerup was which number, there was little point. You should have at least written down the numbers beside each powerup.

There was also no incentive to multiply at all. You were much better off gaining size and taking on the enemy on your own. Maybe if you didn't lose so much size when multiplying...

Not great.

Nice polish, graphics, ok sound, and a pretty good idea (which was not executed very well). The game itself is extremely hollow, and didn't keep me playing for very long.

Well, this is interesting.

That's interesting, the statement that the game is trying to make is disproven by the game itself. The game is fun as hell, and it's not because of the gameplay. The gameplay is, let's face it, shit, you basically just put something heavy on the Spacebar and drift left or right to catch coins. The only thing that makes this game fun - really, really fun - is the upgrade system.

In your effort to criticize upgrade systems, you have made a game showing just how great they can be.

Anyway, artistic statements aside, the game is extremely fun. Having to upgrade everything was cool as hell, it gave a real sense of... progression, to the game. Particularly how upgrading the graphics also upgraded the music, it was like moving forward in time.

The ship customization system was arguably the best I'd seen. Brilliant game.

Too hard.

Too hard, but still kinda cool. I also wasn't really concentrating, so yeah. Controls feel very nice, well done

Ugh.

Well, like everyone else said, it's all been done before, nothing knew etc. ...

I'd just like to talk about how... commerical this game looks. It's an essence which is difficult to grasp, but there is a very strong divide between games like this and games like, say, Seed of Destruction, Defend Your Castle, or Tactical Assassin.

This, with its sleek looking graphics, just looks like it has no soul and no creativity. It's... oddly repulsive.
